Raised in Costa Mesa, California, Dr. Luong pursued his higher education at the University of California, Riverside, where he successfully earned dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Computer Science and Mathematics in 2005.

During this academic period, a family member attending New York University’s dental program introduced Dr. Luong to the field of dentistry. This introduction ignited his curiosity, especially at the prospect of merging manual dexterity with problem-solving skills while contributing to patient care. This fascination prompted him to delve deeper into the world of dentistry, and the more he learned, the more enamored he became with the profession.

Upon completing his dual-degree program, Dr. Luong took pre-dental courses at the same university and further fortified his foundation by obtaining dual Master of Science degrees in Mathematics and Biology in 2010. Subsequently, he pursued his dental education at the University of Oklahoma, culminating in the completion of his Doctor of Dental Surgery in 2015.

Dr. Luong’s professional journey has encompassed various domains, including private practice dentistry, public health community dentistry and Indian health reservation dentistry. Demonstrating his commitment to service, he currently serves as a Captain in the Army Dental Reserve, driven by a desire to give back to his country.

His extensive experience includes proficiency in diagnosis, crown and bridge work, root canals and oral surgery procedures. Dr. Luong also harbors a keen interest in aesthetic dentistry, continually enhancing his skills through ongoing education and seminars. His goal is to expand the range of in-house services offered, such as implants, BOTOX® and orthodontics.

Beyond dentistry, Dr. Luong finds joy in reading, cooking, hiking, gardening and fishing. Most importantly, he cherishes spending time with his wife, Tiffanie, and their newborns, Eva and Caden.

After completing my Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in my home state at The University of Minnesota School of Dentistry, I escaped the icy Midwest and moved to the Texas heat to create beautiful smiles. I practice dentistry with an empathic approach and a simple mantra: Design, Restore and Smile. Regardless of your dental needs and history, I am confident myself and the team at Georgetown Dental Spa will meet your needs.

I have completed comprehensive training and experience in dental implants, Invisalign® clear aligners, dental veneers (composite and lab-produced), pediatric and family dentistry, teeth whitening, dental crowns and bridges, oral surgery, tooth extractions and tooth-colored fillings. I am constantly continuing to expand my knowledge and proficiencies with continuing education courses.

Before dentistry, I toured the country as a singer in two different bands! Believe it or not, I am still making music and playing shows with my band in the Austin area. I have plenty of stories to share if you are a fan of music, so don’t be afraid to ask! Outside of the office, I spend most of my time with my beautiful girlfriend, Amanda, and our adorable dogs, Latte and Sage.
